By request here is JedIRC.  It's another  Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client that is faster than UtaIRC and Virca.  Besides being fast it seems full featured and has lots of options. I do see one issue though. The last line of the most recent message is cut off until a new message comes in and scrolls it up.

After I posted the Virca IRC (Internet Relay Chat - the oldest and biggest Internet Chat service) client last week several readers suggested that UtaIRC is a much better mobile IRC client than Virca.

UtaIRC , which is also called jmIrc-m,  features multiple windows, fast scrolling, lots of options and the ability to define canned responses that you can  insert into your chats with a single click. And it vibrates the phone whenever there is new activity in one of your open channels

Virca is a client for IRC (Internet Relay Chat) which is multi-user chat protocol that has been around since 1988. There are millions of IRC users world wide chatting in hundreds of thousands of channels.  IRC has a bit of a learning curve so it you aren't familiar with it reading the Virca manual first is recommended to avoid frustration.
