As requested here's a crossword puzzle app. MoxWord is easy to use, fits all screen sizes and the keys are mapped correctly. The only downside is that there are only three puzzles - but that's two more than the only other working free crossword app I've been able to find. The MoXWord web page says "When you've finished playing all the crosswords, you simply get the next set." but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually do that in the app or online.

If you are a crossword puzzle fan and aren't adverse to cheating a little you might like this app.  You enter the the letters of a word with question marks for the unknown letters and the app returns words that match the pattern from its dictionary of 90,000 words.  For example, enter "s?ile" and the app gives you "smile", "stile" and "spite". The only downside of this app is that it's slow. On my i776 it takes about five minutes to return results.   It should be quicker on the i9 and i856 which have much faster processors.
