I don't have a Mirro so I have no idea what apps work on it. Try the ones on GetJar and Mobilerated and if you find one that works please share the knowledge with a comment here.

If you can find an App that will make my phone (SCP3810) behave like a USB thumb drive - like every other device with a USB port I've ever heard of - I would much appreciate it.
Also, I'd like to be pointed to the means by which these Apps are being created. Compiler? API? SDK?
USB access on dumbphones is usually restricted to the SD card. I don't think the SCP3810 has an SD card slot.
Mobile Java apps are created using an SDK lsuch as the Sun Wireless Toolkit
I have the Boost Mot i290. I am looking for a way to silence my ringer on only certain contacts. Anybody know of an app for this?
You can use the phone's Call Filter feature. Go to Profiles and choose your current profile. Hit view, then edit, then Call Filter, then Phone, then Some Contacts and choose the contacts you don't want to take calls from. When they call they will go stright to voicemail without ringing.
I have the Boost Mot i290. I an looking for a way to break my phone book up into categories like friends, family, etc. I've been unable to find anything like that on here. Does anybody know of an app that'll do this?

There's no Pandora app that's compatible with the i856 or any other Boost iDEN phone. The iDEN network is very slow and I've not found a streaming audio that works properly with it.

I've noticed that a lot of the gps tracking apps are coming up everywhere. Is there an application like this for boost? One where you just input the phone number and their location comes up

did you check your storage space to there two similar errors ones for not enough space and the other is for not compatible i cant remember witch is witch it says somewhere in the help section i think

It should work:
Double check the phone numbe which must be entered as 10 digits starting with the area code, no spaces, dashes and np leading zeros
If it's a new account it can take a couple of days before downloads start working
Send to phone only works with Boost and Nextel in the US, not Nextel Mexico, Nextel Brazil, etc.

I've got the mot i290 boost phone. I've tried most, if not all of the multi-chat clients on here and so far, no luck. I get java errors on all. Are there any that I may have missed that someone knows works for this model? I use gmail, yahoo, msn, myspace, facebook, and icq. It doesn't have to support all of these, but as many as possible would be nice!
nimbuzz should work it works on my i290 it might be something with the firmware i haven't updated mine if yours is new or if you have updated your firmware or if not you might wanna give it a try nimbuzz takes a little while to load and connect but it works
you might also wanna check the error you could be out of storage space

It's been years since I used a BlackBerry but I don't recall any free call blocking apps though there were several non-free ones. I use Google Voice with all my phones and only give out my Google Voice number. It has the option to block calls from specific numbers. Of course it only works for callers who call your Google Voice number. If the unwanted caller already has your mobile number it won't work.
Hey, I know you've said there isn't an app for sending ring tones to my phone, but what about an app similar to ToneMaker Dj, which came pre-installed on my i290? It's an app for creating your own ring tones.

I don't think you can undelete a contact. But if they ever called or texted you, you can add them back from the Message Center or Recent calls
go to boostmobile.com and log in to your account. its been awhile since ive bothered doing it and i noticed the main page has changed so im not promising anything . but you should be able to access an itemized list of your call/text/transaction history.

That's an Android phone. It doesn't support Java ME so nothing on here will work. Not to worry though there are tons of great free games and apps in the Android Market.
so dennis i found a way around this whole error about not being able to access getjar with the sanyo incognito all u have to do is use opera mini when u start it up found mobile apps click on it then click on the getjar link thats there nd it brings u to the site without the error nd stuff
That's good news. BTW, if anyone has deleted the GetJar link that's pre-installed in Opera Mini, it's http://wap.operamini.getjar.com That URL should work in Opera Mini and maybe the stock browser too.
Ya thats true i have been getting alot of problems with getjar. Also like a month ago when i upgraded my firmwire nothing work to dl or watch youtube but yes ill probly just wait again.
BTW dennis at the end of that note it says help us by asking your phone company to support getjar.. Do u rlly think that boostmobile told them to make their CDMA devices unsupported?????
I think it's more likely simple incompetence on GetJar's part. I've been getting a lot of weird errors on GetJar lately on both PCs and phones. Hopefully it will start working again soon.
I don't have a CDMA phone to test this with but if I did I'd try: clearing cookies in the phone browser and then going to http://m.getjar.com/mobile-software-for-java/
About Opera Mini? Can you initiate a GetJar download using it?

Opera Mini should work on the Rambler. The best way to get it on CDMA phone's is to go to http://mini.opera.com with the phone's browser and download the recommended version or if there is no recommended version try 5.1 first and if that doesn't work go with 4.2

OK this is for everyone who has the sanyo incognito, If you run into an app that you really want to try and you get a “909 Authentication” error you can still install the app if you can get both the .jar and .jad files. Simply remove the sections of the .jad that contain the key information:

put the .jar and the modified .jad in a web-accessible server and point your phones web-browser to it!

Good find. BTW, If you can find a link to a jar file (rather than a JAD) and send it to the Universal Uploader, the JAD that will be created will not have the certificates. I 'll look into adding a "strip certificates form JAD" option to the Loader

try funformobile.com. its theres alot of .gif animations. you may find the dancing baby thing there. you will have to visit it via pc then transfer em unless your phones download functions arent disabled. everything there is submitted by other users so expect to weed thru mislabeled(and not mislabeled) crap.

Change the app-name, or jad or jar name, so it can download along-side the regular one. Would that violate the app security signing?
It's not a security issue it's a chicken or egg one. Without Download Apps you can't download anything not even another copy of Download Apps
But, if you change it's name within the JAR or JAD, would that not change it's name in "Java Menu" of phone?
Have second copy already there, then delete the useless one. Loophole, if the security system doesn't vote "nay".

No, she'll be needing the computer way, likely.
I'm talking bout how you did the Opera re-naming. If the name is changed just slightly, it won't install over the old copy, and should work.
Then the purely-mobile user's can get by without computer.
