I've added JAD and JAR links to the Universal App Loader's download page for users of Boost CDMA phones like Sanyo Incognito and other non-iDEN phones.

If you are using a PC browser the desktop version of the Loader's Send To Phone page now displays a numeric Jump Code. Enter it on a new Boostapps Jump page at boostapps.com/jump/ using your mobile browser to display a download page with the JAD and JAR links. Click the JAD link to complete the installation on non-iDEN phones. Jump codes expire in one hour and the jad and jar files are deleted.  I don't have the enough space on the server to store large numbers of files.

While it's true that non-iDEN users can download apps directly  from sites like GetJar  However Boost or Sprint CDMA phones require a JAD file and are very fussy about it's formating and content.  Some  download sites only provide JARs or have invalid JADs that do not work with these phones.  The Universal App Loader tries to create a valid JAD file that should work with most phones.

However, I don't have a Boost or Sprint CDMA phone so I can't test with those phones.  Please let me know in the comments if you have issues using the loader.  In you comment please include the Jump Code and any error messages you see on the site or the phone.

I'll be continuing to fix bugs and trying to make the Universal App Loader compatible with more phones and sites.

  1. Trying to find a video app for the seek i have tried the bolt opera mini none works any suggestions

    • If Bolt can't display videos on the Seek I doubt any anything else will.

  2. hello, i need help with my samsung seek through boost. i would like to know since its java based is there anyway i can get flash or something to play videos like youtube? i have downloaded opera mini and took awhile but i got it to work. but would still like video. if you could please email me thanks.

    • There's no Flash Player for Java phones and probably never will be. Flash's system requirements are too high.
I don't have a Seek and don't know if it supports mobile formatted (3gpp) video playback like the Incognito but if it does some of the mobile video sites listed here: http://wapreview.com/?id=2618 should work.
Also try the Bolt Browser: http://boostapps.com/apps/bolt-1-6-full-version/ It has a built in video player that might work.

  3. Is the Loader coded to search the current 1-hour-download's for same app a user is trying to upload? Could save lotta bandwidth.
To make usage easier a 'Tested & Recommended' system could be implemented. Same as your download's, but as uploader-link's.

  4. Can i get the download for q-stuff.com or the jump code.

    • I don't understand your question. However q-stuff.com is a bad site. They modify games and apps that are supposed to be free so that you need an "Activation Code" that costs $5 to run them.

  5. i tried to download opera mini 4.3 but it wont go throu. i did everything you said dennis can u help?.. are there any other good browsers that i could download. besides the ones from here.. BTW i have the i465

  6. this isnt made for CDMA phones like the sanyo incognito go to this site and upload the app your trying upload and send to ur phone http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/

  7. I have a CDMA phone with Boost Mobile (Sanyo Incognito) and when I use the app loader and try to install the JAD file, it says "Invalid Descriptor".

    • Can you tell me the jump code or the URL of the app you are trying to load. I can't troubleshoot the problem without that.
