"The Universal App Loader" lets you send almost any mobile Java app or game on the web to your phone. Paste or the type the URL of a mobile Java game or app JAD or JAR file in the text box above, press the "Send To Phone" button and follow the instructions on the following pages.
The Universal App Loader is most useful for users of Boost Motorola iDEN phones (Motorolas with model numbers starting with the letter "i" like the i265, i475, i776 and i9) as those phones can't download and install apps using the browser. Users of other phones, including Boost CDMA phones (Incognito, Innuendo, Seek, Juno etc) should generally NOT use the Universal App Loader as it's easier to download apps directly using the phone browser.

Have fun and let us know in the comments what works and any issues you encounter.
I have the i856. 20 out of 20 no. This has been over time but just today 6 out of 6 yes. I have a limited 1 hour use of a library pc to do this but i will compile at least a short list for you within a couple days. I can say many came from sites listed somewhere on this site.
With around 20 jar files ive tried i get a dl failure 904 - attribute mismatch. ?
I only find about 1 in 3 work. Are you saying you got 20 failures out of 20 tries? That's pretty bad, what phone and what are a few of the ones you've tried?
Thanx a million dennis. worked great. your the man.
Hey, i just switched to the seek which i know is on the cdma network so i cant send to phone, but how can i send meboy games i create to my phone. i was using the iden upload page with my i856 but i know i cant now. any suggestions. thanx.
You should be able to use the Universal App Loader by loading the JAR and then opening BoostApps in the phone browser, entering your jump code and clicking the JAD link.
If that doesn't work there are a couple of other CDMA optimized loaders you can try:
Rumkin – Boost CDMA/Sprint Phone Uploader
Sprint CDMA Content Uploader
How can i watch youtube videos from myh samsung seek?????
dennis can you help me with a boostcard. i will greatly apperiated it
If your are having trouble with a Boost refill card you need to either call Boost or return it to the seller. I have no connection with Boost so I can't do anything that you can't do yourself.
now getting Status Code 100 Assignment complete error in Download Apps
dennis can you help Me do you know the service code for sprint users
What service code? What are you trying to do that it asks for a service code?
hey, dennis! I just found a way to use your own files! all you have to do is upload the JAR to you public dropbox folder (I tried the JAD, but it doesn't work), and copy the URL over into the loader.
Good to know that it works with Dropbox files. I figured that some of the file upload/download sites could be used but never got around to trying any.
i use to have an i465 clutch. now i have a sanyo juno. how can i download games to this phone
Like it says on the Boost Apps Help page:
Q. I have a Boost Incognito, Mirro, Rant, Juno, C290, W385 or KRZR or some other phone that's not a iDen phone. Can I get the games and apps on BoostApps.com on my phone?
A. Maybe. Those are Boost CDMA phones and you can't use the "Send to Phone" button to install apps. But some of the apps and games here will work. To install an app on most non-iDEN phones including Boost CDMA phones: Visit boostapps.com with your phone's browser. Find a game or app you want. Click the "JAD" link below the app's description. Also visit m.getjar.com with your phone's browser for a much larger selection of games and apps, many of which work on non-iDEN phones.
I tried all the recomended tips . it must be a local problem . Thanks for letting me know it was not a widespread problem .
First a wap outage , and now download apps seems to be out . Anybody else having these problems ?
I just tried Download Apps and it worked. Try power cycling the phone.
im thinking of getting a sanyo incognito will the apps on this site work if i side load them or do i jus do an over-the-air download
Over the air, CDMA phones don't support sideloading.
how do i know when i copy the jar link it will work. i got this when copying the jar link of a game:
Upload Failed - Error: http://www.mobilerated.com/ is not a jad or jar. Unsupported file type: text/html;charset=utf-8
fileURL=http://www.mobilerated.com/consumer/free/downloads/aam/5310/sportbikes_unlimited.jar
To only way to find out if a game or app to work is to try it.
Please read the Universal App Loader online help. The problem you are having with Mobilerated is a known issue with a workaround (you must use the Mobilerated mobile site (http://mobilerated.com/wap/) even with desktop browsers).
is there a way to download the jar file on your phone then have it on "new purchases"
Yes, use the Opera Mini bookmarklet or UC Web to send the jar to the Universal App Loader.
it says this when i tried to upload a jar url file: open/home/boostapp/public_html/files/temp/11807.jar failed
what happend
The url you are using: filefactory.com/file/b3gbca2/n/gv4me.jar points to a file sharing site's download page with timer and CAPTCHA rather than to an actual jar file.
If you want to try gv4me use this link to file on the developer's site: http://gv4me.googlecode.com/files/gv4me.jar
Ten four on mobiles24.Does that mean any site requiring Login for download wont work?
Some sites requiring a login won't work, some like Mobango do because they just require you to login to see the download link but don't check that you are still logged in when you click it.
Dennis,re:mobiles24
The same page that gives the Download Id also has "download jad file"link, but I guess because there are other download links on the same page your loader wont work.
Thanks for the replys Dennis. I've known about rumkin for awhile back when I was using Sprint, but it doesn't send the jump code to my phone, which is why I use http://pcs.cruz-network.net/. I download the jar to a new folder on my phone using Bolt browser from sites like wap.mobiles24.com and use Opera Mini 5 to upload it on http://pcs.cruz-network.net/ Then I use http://www.getjar.com/mobile/29142/the-ultimate-file-explorer/ to browse and delete the original jar. It's alot of trouble, but it's the only way I've been able to download from alot of sites using just my phone (Before this app loader, of course). Hope ya can get mobiles24 to work Dennis, and thanks again for all your hard work.
Dennis,I couldnt get http://www.mobiles24.com to work. You give it a download code at http://wap.mobiles24.com
The download link doesnt point to Jad or Jar. It requires registration(I was able to do it from phone)
I see what you mean. I'll see if I can get it working.
I'm unable to get mobiles24 to work.
The problem is that the site requires you to be logged in. When you login a cookie is stored in your browser by mobiles24. The mobiles24 download logic checks to see if you are logged in and if you aren't it sends a page saying you must be logged in instead of the jad or jar.
When you use the loader the request is coming to mobiles24 from the BoostApps server, not from your browser, so mobiles24 can't see your login cookie.
To make it work I would have to use a hacking technique called "cross site request forging" It's a lot of work and I'm not sure I even have the skills to do it. It's also unethical and possibly illegal and I wouldn't do it even if I could.
In addition, mobiles24 hosts almost 100% pirated commercial games. I don't support piracy for ethical reasons and also because this site depends on the cooperation of Sprint/Boost to be able to send games to iDEN phones in the first place.
Love da loader. Was wondering how to download games to the games folder instead of thd application folder using the jad file generated? Thanks in advance.
That's not possible with the current version of the loader. I may add it in the future. In the meantime, if you have a PC, you can use the Rumkin loader which does have an option to specify the folder. http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/
Was wondering what model phone I can select on gamejump that works on my sanyo mirro? Thanks in advance.
The Mirro as a 240x320 screen so try using something low-end from LG or Samsung that has the same screen size like the LG Lotus or LX-290 or the Samsung Gravity 2, A797 or A827
Dennis,it looks like Umnet changed. The download link points to the Id Code, instead of the Jar file. Maybe only temporary.
Thanks for the heads up, you're right I've confirmed that the download links on the desktop umnet site http://www.umnet.com don't work in the loader anymore. I'll see if I can fix it but in the meantime you can use the download id on the mobile site at http://m.umnet.com wThe mobile site works in desktop as well as mobile browsers.
Another great App from this site !! I downloaded Microsky... and it is a great app...
Love it... downloaded in just a couple of minutes... no problems at all...
I try'd downloading the Opera 4.2 into my I-465 boostmobile phone, and it worked
beautiful !! had no problems at all... It also works GREAT ... Thanks for having
such a wonderful FREE site ... Thank you once again !!! Brian
I don't know off hand if it does or not. Try it and see. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll see if I can fix it.
My stature i9 doesn't let me watch youtube videos?
The iDEN network is too slow for video streaming.
Dear Dennis i recently baught a lg slider phone from walmart i downloaded opera mini 5.1 to my handset Q. do i need a flash player to view youtube videos on my lg 620g and where can i get a flash player Thanks Glen
There is no Flash Player for any phone except for a few high end Android phones. However you should be able to view the videos on YouTube's mobile site at http://m.youtube.com/
I cant figure out how to get a jump code. do i have to delete the universal uploader than save it again? I have the boost incognito.
The Universal Uploader is a web page, you can't delete it. To understand how to use the loader:
If you have a PC please read this: Detailed Universal App Loader Help
If you don't have a PC please read this: Universal App Loader Now Works With Opera Mini
Yes, m.umnet.com works with this bookmarklet.
You have to get a download code from the desktop Umnet desktop page at umnet.com and type it into the mobile site.
On the desktop site first click "games" or "apps". Find a game or app you are interested in and click its title to bring up the page for that app or game.
On the game or app page scroll down to where it says "Download ID" and write down the 6 digit number that is the download ID.
Then go to the mobile site at m.umnet.com and click "Download by ID". Enter the download ID in the text box and press the "Go" button to get the download link. Then run the bookmarklet and click the download link to send it to the loader.
That means that either you ran out of space for apps on the phone or the game isn't compatible with your phone.
Look on the Help page in the section titled "Q. I got a "Java Error" while installing how can I fix this?" to learn how to tell the difference and how to fix it if it's a space issue.
I could not reproduce your 904 error downloading Dynamite Fishing. I used this URL: http://download.greystripe.com/download/d6829/p7/a1558/u329877601/jad
The game loaded and ran. It fits the screen and plays pretty well. The key mappings are a little off but usable. Not the most exciting game though. Try the loader again with the above URL. It should work.
OK I'll check it out this evening.
Which game? Are you still using the i465?
Tanx DENNIS! That Sure Did Fix the Problem. BTW When Ever i Install An App Or Games on my java Apps they Wont Open. when ever i open them it takes me back to the java menu.. i tried to install myspace mobile.. and airG chat..
Both of those are "Site Shortcuts", tiny (under 5 KB) Java apps that are supposed to launch the phone browser and open a specific page. Motorola iDEN phones don't allow 3rd party apps to launch the browser so site shortcuts never work.
All they would do is launch the MySpace or AirG mobile sites in the OpenWave browser. You can do that manually using Openwave, Opera Mini or Bolt. The URLs are:
http://airg.com
http://m.myspace.com
is it me or the getjar aint workin? when i click download it gives me an error on the next page.. it was workin before thought
GetJar is working for me. On the PC site you will sometimes get an error on the download page if your selected phone is not one of the supported phones for the app you are trying to download.
So it freezes or crashes after you put your name in? If that's the case it's probably not compatible with the phone.
Phone: i290 (v188) Site: GameJump
Little Ninja King still doesn't work.
Sword's of fury work's, but game is evil-kill's you alot.
K.G.B. Swat work's, but is junk.
Opal's Quest has graphic's way, way too big, and the back button doesn't work.
Phone: i290 (v188) Site: GameJump
Cribbage has it's own built-in, fast-flashing ad's. Deleted it w/out testing.
Both GolfClub and CityCop (by RetroSoft) exit when down arrow is pressed. GolfClub has left soft-key mapped right, but right key is Menu.
i got golden solitaire and reversi from umnet and work even when my service was cut off for a few days so i am sure there is more free ones
How bout the legality of umnet's download's? Checked out a list of Motorola app's from there last night, and over half seemed to be commercial.
Freeware and demo's?
Meant to say wapstack, that's the one with the questionable content.
Sorry for any confusion.
Both umnet and wapstack have lots of warez.
Yes m.umnet.com works but there's no search box or directory on the mobile site.
You have to get a download code from the desktop Umnet desktop page at umnet.com and type it into the mobile site.
On the desktop site (which works in UCWEB though not very well.), first click "games" or "apps".

Streetball Extreme install's, but gave 'Unhandled Exception' when loading.
Correction: StickFighterFury isn't short at all. Still playing.
Phone: i290(v188) Site: GameJump
Wakeboarding Wakestock is too big.
Pinocchio work's, but is slow-motion.
Wolf Moon work's, it's a graphical text adventure.
Nineball as v188 is still too big.
ok so what apps have been found to work on the i465 using the app loader? i have tried a couple of apps using the loader and they didn't really work. so i need some url's that have been tested and run on moto i465 phone please.
No, only UC WEB
what does it mean when an app stops downloadin in class and says mv class error
Either it's incompatible for the phone or you don't have enough space left on the phone to install.
See the "Q. I got a "Java Error" while installing how can I fix this?" section of http://boostapps.com/help/ to learn how to diagnose these errors.
I noticed that between i455 and v188, the v188 ad-size's are smaller.
Re-downloaded Contraflow, and it not only started this time, but almost actually fit the screen.
Maybe some of the other model-option's have this same effect on their given phone's?
Site: GameJump
Phone: i290 (v188)
Stick Fighter Fury is awesome, but short.
MafiaWars Yakuza is good but weird.
TMNT: Fast Forward is working junk.
