Another app that Darren found on GetJar, BlueShoot lets you find nearby phones with Bluetooth turned on and send messages to them  using Bluetooth for free.  In "Spy Mode" it can alert you when any phone (or only certain phones) move into range. "Autoshoot Mode" sends a predefined message to every phone it encounters

    doesn't work sat next to a friend with his droid on blutooth and didn't pick it up. Also sat in crowd of others with their bluetooth phones and says found 0.
