How to use the Universal App Uploader to send apps to your phone using a DESKTOP browser:
(If you don't have a PC you can also use the Opera Mini or UCWEB mobile browsers on your phone. Instructions for using Opera Mini (recommended if you don't have a PC). Instructions for UCWEB.
- Visit any site that has mobile Java downloads, like getjar.com or wap.gamejump.com using a desktop browser.
- Find a link that you click to download either a JAD or JAR file.
- Copy the link address by right-clicking the download link and choosing:
- "Copy Shortcut" (Internet Explorer)
- "Copy Link Location" (Firefox)
- "Copy Link Address" (Chrome or Opera Desktop)
- Open the BoostApps Universal App Loader, right-click in the text box labeled "Enter JAR or JAD URL:" and choose "Paste".
- Press the "Upload File" button.
Next, if you are using a Boost iDEN or Nextel Motorola 'i' series phone with Push To Talk (i465, i856, etc.):
- On the next page, enter your phone number and press the "Send To Phone" button.
- Go to Menu > Games & Apps > Download Apps > New Purchases on your phone to download the Application just as would with any of the other apps on this site.
- Warning: This is a Beta release. There will be bugs. It's unlikely that using this feature will hurt your phone. However, you must agree to use it at your own risk. I will not be responsible for any damages.
- Many sites require you to choose a phone before you can download . If your iDEN phone isn't listed pick a different Motorola phone with the same screen size. Here's a list:
For phones like the i290 with small square screens (130 x 130 px), choose the Motorola i455 or V188.
For the i465 and i776 (128 x 160), Choose the Motorola i576 or V190.
For the i855, i856 and other phones with 176 x 220 screens, choose the i850 or V300.
For the i9 (240 x 320), choose the RAZR V3xx or V3xxM
If you are using a different phone (Boost or Sprint CDMA, AT&T, T-Mobile or any GSM phone).
- Note the Jump Code displayed on the Universal App Loader's download page.
- Launch your phone's browser and go to boostapps.com/jump.
- Enter the Jump Code in the text box and press the "Jump" button.
- On the next screen click the JAD link and the app should install. If the JAD link doesn't work try the JAR link.
The Universal App Loader should work with most mobile game sites that have direct download links. It's been tested on the following sites:
GetJar: getjar.com has removed the option to download apps from the desktop site. You must use the mobile site at m.getjar.com which only works with mobile browsers. See GetJar Opera Mini Bookmarklet for a work around.
Hovr: Use the mobile site (hovr.com/wap/) even with desktop browsers as the desktop site is badly broken. Choose a phone before trying to do anything on this site. Hovr has modified the site so that it no longer works with the loader. I'm working on a possible fix.
Mobilerated: Use the mobile site (mobilerated.com/wap/) with desktop browsers.
Phoload: On the desktop site (phoload.com) you need to use the JAR links, the JAD ones don't work. The JADS on the mobile site (m.phoload.com/) do work in both desktop and mobile browsers.
Ownskin: Use the mobile site (m.ownskin.com/) with both desktop and mobile browsers. Browse through the games section to find your games. Don't use the "OS Key"quick download form as it doesn't work.

Mobango: You need to register and add a phone to your profile before you can download. Don't choose an iDen phone or it will tell you that no games are are available. Pick a Motorola v188, v190, v300 or v3xx instead. Both desktop (mobango.com) and mobile sites (wap.mobango.com/) work.
Umnet: Start on the desktop Umnet desktop page at umnet.com, click "games" or "apps". Find a game or app you are interested in and click its title to bring up the page for that app or game. On the game or app page scroll down to where it says "Download ID" and write down the 6 digit number that is the download ID. Then go to the mobile site at m.umnet.com and click "Download by ID". Enter the download ID in the text box and press the "Go" button. Right-click the "Download" link and copy it's URL and paste it into the Loader.
Known issues:
- Sites that require a login or use a countdown timer like MegaUpload or require a login to download probably won't work.
- Typically fewer than one in three apps that you send to your phone will work well or at all. There's nothing that can be done about that. It's the nature of mobile Java apps that they do not all work on all phones. Blame Sun and the mobile operators and handset makers for creating a system with so many compatibilities. Finding stuff that works is a trial an error process. If you get an error installing or the app crashes, delete it from your phone and move on.
Hi Am I able to download apps on spc3810 Mirro. I am having a heck of a time.
What apps and what is going wrong?
is there a way to load the jad's and jar's to your phone with a data plan? i don't have texting or data. i use a usb cable to transfer music/photos back and forth.
How do I send the universal app loader to my phone. It says next page but there is no next page.
I don't understand your question. After you paste an app's URL into the text box, pressing loader's "Upload File" button should take you to a new page. It will either be page with a "Send to Phone" button or else an error message.
Try it again and if it still doesn't work please post a new comment with the following information.
1) Are you starting with the loader on a PC or you phone?
2) What make and model of phone are you using?
3) What app on what site are you trying to load? Paste the link into the comment if possible.
